Marketings 4 "P's" meets the 4 "C's" of Marketing
In school they taught us the 4 p's of marketing and marketing students could easily recite them:
- Product
- Price
- Place
- Promotion
More recently, I've heard of the 4 C's of Marketing, however no one seems to agree what they really are. I've seen several posts about the 4 c's. They each all call out different 4 c's:
- Commitment Consistency Connection Change
- Communication, Customization, Collaboration, and Clairvoyance
- Customer value, convenience, change, communication
- Community, citizenship. customer, conversation - (warning for web 2.0 folks, this post is anti web 2.0)
- Customer, competition, cost, communication
Has anyone officially created the 4 C list of Marketing? Or is this just something that has evolved into a non-rule?

hi,
Just stumbled across your blog and wanted to respond to your questions about the 4Cs of Marketing. The answer is 'yes', the 4Cs of Marketing has "officially" been created and is a concept that I developed several years ago. Although, it is just starting to get some industry buzz now. I'll be presenting the 4Cs of Marketing (called 'Commitment Marketing') at a Conference in Singapore at the end of this month...if interested and 'in Asia' during that time. Attached is a link to the presentation abstract:

Hi Chris... How come the only post I can't comment on is the one about commenting in posts? :-) (May 20) I'm using blogger, too, but can't find that setting. Can you elaborate?
Also, I have a new post on Ten Tips to Being a Good Advertising Client that I thought you in particular might really enjoy...
Keep up the great work.
